Efficient Plants, Safer People Seminar

On Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the Mississauga Convention Centre, a seminar detailing how efficiency improvements can dramatically improve a company’s competitive position will be held, sponsored by Paper Packaging Canada–a new national association bringing together the major players in the Canadian paper packaging industry.

The seminar will look at various scenarios involving efficiency improvements, such as: how to do it with full employee involvement and at the same time reduce costs; how to stimulate behavioural change to produce a safer workforce; and what about guarding and productivity?

The event will feature two keynote speakers, a panel of industry experts, and an optional tour of a nearby plant.

Keynote speakers:

An industry panel of experts will discuss how behavioural change is becoming a strategic imperative for the industry and will feature: 
Kevin Belisle, regional safety manager, Smurfit-MBI 
Marshall Greensides, corporate health & safety coordinator, Norampac 
David Hindley, corporate health & safety coordinator, Atlantic Packaging.
